Catholic Daughters of the Americas
Court St. Andrew #2792
Formed in 1903, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas ("CDA") is one of the oldest and largest national organizations of Catholic women with 63,000 dues-paying members in 1,150 courts (local chapters) in 45 states across the country and in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guam and the Virgin Islands. Our patroness is the Blessed Mother. Instituted in September 2023, Court St. Andrew is the newest CDA chapter in the San Gabriel region of the Los Angeles Archdiocese.
Our Mission:
The purpose of the organization is to participate in the religious, charitable, and educational Apostolates of the Church. Catholic Daughters of the Americas engages in creative and spiritual programs which provide its members with the opportunity to develop their God-given talents in meaningful ways that positively influence the welfare of the Church and all the people throughout the world.
Catholic Daughters of the Americas strive to embrace the principle of faith working through love in the promotion of justice, equality, and the advancement of human rights and human dignity for all.
Our Motto: Unity and Charity
Our Two-Fold Purpose: Spirituality and Service
The integration of spirituality and service is the foundation of the Catholic Daughters. CDA helps women develop their spirituality and provides avenues of service to live out that spirituality. The CDA gives members a unique opportunity to share their faith with other Catholic women. Helping others through charitable acts in the spirit of Jesus Christ is the heart of our organization. "Spirituality and Service": the heart and soul foundation of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
